pickup, league, gnarly brawl of doom?
I've had thoughts of not really starting a league so much as getting some good public space to play on. I've thought of lobbying the Seattle Park and Rec Dept to convert a double tennis court or two around...this most likely would require a petition with X signatures.

More details to come..

Has anyone else tryed this???

is it true theres a new rink in Issaquah in the Highlands?

Rink in Issaquah exists but it's apparently small. 3 on 3 is about all it can handle. Our current chicken wire fence home made play area is about 120' by 40'. Feels small for 5 on 5. Why not build a 200 ft x 85 ft regulation size rink. It would be a dream! Would work for both roller and street hockey. The 180 members of ssh.com would be the first to sign your petition. None of us has really put in the time with Seattle Park to make this a reality. Maybe this is the time to strike the iron while the city is flush with stimulus money! Go for it Ryan! You have our blessing! Let us know how it goes and if there's anything we can do to help out. We'd be happy to contribute gear, money etc.
